Ground Beef Casserole (Western Hash)

o        1 pound ground beef

o        1 pound (12 ounce) can tomatoes

o        1 cup chopped green pepper

o        ˝ cup chopped onion

o        ˝ cup uncooked rice

o        ˝ teaspoon salt

o        ˝ teaspoon basil

o        dash of pepper

o        ˝ pound Velveeta sliced Krafts Nutritious Pasteurized Process cheese spread


To Prepare…


1.       In a frying pan, brown ground beef; add tomatoes, green pepper, onion, rice, salt, basil, and pepper.

2.       Cover and simmer 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3.       Top with Velveeta cheese spread.

4.       Heat until melted.


Notes: Makes 4 to 6 servings
