Easter Ham Pie (“Ah, Pizza-Gain!”)

know who, but Lenny made it in 1987 for the first time.
Ingredients
Crust |
Filling |
6 cups flour |
2 pounds ham, cut into cubes |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 stick pepperoni, cut into cubes |
3 tablespoons shortening (Crisco) |
½ pound Soppressata, cut into
cubes |
4 eggs (beaten) |
1 pound Prostino, cut into
cubes |
½ cup milk |
1 pound Basket Cheese, cut into cubes |
½ cup water |
¾ pound Provolone Cheese, cut into cubes |
pepper to taste |
½ cup grated cheese |

4 dozen eggs (beaten) |
To Prepare…
1.
Mix together flour and baking
powder; work in Crisco.
2.
Mix together eggs, milk, water
and dash of pepper, then add to flour mixture.
3.
Mix with hands until like a pie crust dough.
4.
Divide dough and roll out onto
floured board.
5.
Line pans with crust.
6.
Mix all filling ingredients
together and fill the crust-lined pans.
7.
Bake in 325 degree oven for
approximately 45 minutes to 1 ¼ hours or until crust is golden brown and knife
in center comes out clean.
Notes: A glass dish is the best; use: 1 11” x 16” pan OR 2
9” pie pans.
